GRAPE: Xinomavro

REGION: South Australia, Barossa Valley

 

Ripe red berry aromas combine with sun-dried tomato and black olive on the nose. The palate is bold yet elegant, showing bright acidity, firm tannins and flavours of cherry, raspberry and subtle earth spice. A savoury, lingering finish adds complexity and depth.

 

FOOD PAIRING: Slow-roasted lamb shoulder, tomato-braised pork, aged cheddar, mushroom ragù, grilled eggplant with feta and Mediterranean herb roast chicken.
