Deep,purple with aromas of blackberry, blackcurrant, violets and cacao. Notes of graphite, spices and fresh earth add complexity. The palate is bold and structured, showing concentrated dark fruit, firm yet well-shaped tannins, and a savoury, mineral-driven finish. Classic Cahors: powerful, earthy and pure.
 
FOOD PAIRING: Excellent with grilled ribeye, cassoulet, roast duck, lamb shoulder, mushroom ragù, charred root vegetables, or strong aged cheeses. Its muscular structure stands up beautifully to rich, hearty dishes.
