Full-bodied, generous and velvety, with flavours of dark cherry, plum, dried fig and sweet spice. The palate is powerful but smooth, with notes of chocolate, raisin, tobacco and warm baking spice. A bold, warming style with ripe tannins and a long, savoury finish.
 
FOOD PAIRING: Excellent with slow-braised beef, osso buco, rich mushroom risotto, aged Parmigiano-Reggiano, roast duck, venison, lamb shoulder or dark chocolate desserts.
