GRAPE: Grenache / Syrah
REGION: France, Rhône Valley
Dark garnet in the glass, this wine opens with aromas of white pepper, black cherry, violet and spice, developing mocha and blackberry with aeration. On the palate it is structured yet expressive, with red and black fruit, licorice, anise and firm but polished tannins, finishing long and elegant. It balances power with freshness and has excellent ageing potential (7–10 years).
FOOD PAIRING: Match with grilled lamb chops with herbs, beef tagine, duck breast with cherry sauce, wild boar ragu, aged sheep’s cheese or hard cheeses (like Manchego or Pecorino), or hearty ratatouille with olives and anchovy.
