GRAPE: Cabernet Sauvignon / Merlot / Cabernet Franc
REGION: France, Bordeaux
Deep garnet with violet edges, this wine opens with aromas of blackcurrant, dark cherry, cedar, tobacco leaf and a touch of warm spice. On the palate it is medium- to full-bodied, with concentrated dark fruit, fine-grained tannins and savory depth, all held in tension by fresh acidity. Elegant and poised, it shows excellent structure and maturity potential.
FOOD PAIRING: Try with roast lamb with rosemary, beef tenderloin with mushrooms, venison medallions, duck breast with a red-wine reduction, aged cheddar or Comté, or grilled portobello mushrooms with garlic and herbs.
