GRAPE: Merlot/Cabernet Sauvignon

REGION: France, Bordeaux

Deep, ruby with garnet reflections. The nose opens with concentrated aromas of black plum compote, cassis, violets and dried rose, layered with cocoa powder, cedar, sweet tobacco and a subtle graphite-mineral edge so characteristic of Pomerol’s clay and gravel soils. The palate is  balanced with silky tannins. Notes of dark cherry, vanilla pod and warm spice supported by refined oak and fresh acidity. The finish is long, smooth- showing both depth and finesse.

FOOD PAIRING: A superb match for slow-roasted lamb shoulder with rosemary, beef fillet with red wine jus, duck breast with blackberry glaze, or truffle mushroom risotto. It also complements aged cheeses, porcini ragù, confit garlic potato dishes, or chargrilled vegetables where the wine’s fruit and elegant structure can truly shine.
